Mind Your Own Business is a negative thought masquerading as a positive action statement. But for our purposes today, let's take it literally. Most of us reading this email are in the events industry. We are #eventprofs, an entire industry built on the art of human interaction. With that comes amazing collaborations, but unfortunately also distractions. It's a double edged sword. On one hand you get to work with people, and on the other hand you have to work with... people! We can spend days of our lives looking for conspiracies or ranting about personal injustices on social media. Where should our time and thoughts be focused? There will always be someone that steals your idea, says something that is untrue, or blames you for a problem that they themselves caused. But time wasted on them is time robbed from your customers, your family, and your business. What is your business? What is your purpose? Don't lose sight of that. Don't look over your shoulder. Look to the core of what you do and keep true to that. Mind your business. ******************************** Now for some fun stuff. I saw this photo on Facebook a few weeks ago and I asked permission to use it in this email. What a gem! A photo from the first performance of The Three Waiters in the USA for #eventprofs and I'm happy to say we fooled the entire room! Can you recognize anyone in this photo? So, I thought it might be fun to crowd source photos of the first time you saw The Three Waiters perform. Can you send them in to us? They may make their way into an email or social media! :-)
